On Monday, May 25, Renton Mayor Armondo Pavone announced by proclamation the 25th of May, to be Walker’s Renton Subaru Day in honor of Walker’s staff and owner Dale Walker’s commitment to supporting students, families, and staff in the Renton School District, and the greater community.
For more than a decade, Dale Walker, his team at Walker’s Renton Subaru, and Walker’s customers through the annual Subaru Share the Love event, have donated more than $1 million to Renton Schools Foundation and Communities in Schools Renton-Tukwila. Both organizations use the funding to support and improve classroom education, music, and STEM programs; to provide grants directly to teachers; and provide food, shelter and other support for hundreds of students and families throughout the district.
The City of Renton proclamation highlights Walker’s Renton Subaru as a community-driven, local business that is dedicated to making Renton better for all residents.
