Visit Renton Getting a Rebrand

Visit Renton Getting a Rebrand

Exciting things are happening in Renton! We’re reimagining Visit Renton with a fresh rebrand that captures the city’s vibrant culture, rich diversity, and creative spirit. From local favorites to unique experiences, Renton has so much to offer—and we’re showcasing it in a way that inspires both visitors and locals alike. This rebrand isn’t just about a new look; it’s about sharing Renton’s story and inviting everyone to experience it.

Teaming up with consultants from Simpleview,  the partners of the Renton Community Marketing Campaign – including Renton Chamber of Commerce, Valley Medical, Renton Technical College and the City of Renton-are working together to promote Renton as a vibrant hub  of investment and opportunity. United by a shared vision, these partners are excited to share with a broader audience what we already know to be true: Renton is a vibrant destination that offers endless opportunities to live, learn, work, and play. The decision to rebrand reflects a shift in the campaign’s focus, evolving from an emphasis on economic development to a stronger tourism-driven approach, with Simpleview as a trusted partner to help bring this vision to life.

Last week members of the Simpleview team went on an intensive Renton immersion tour!  Jen mead, Art Director for Simpleview, and Kayla Velasquez, Designer for Simpleview, were warmly welcomed by the City’s economic development staff as they began their journey to discover and understand all that Renton has to offer.

Over two incredible days, this group got to experience Renton to its fullest!  The adventure kicked off with a warm welcome and a taste of downtown at Premier Meat Pies before settling in at the Hampton Inn & Suites. Tuesday started strong with locally roasted coffee from Boon Boona followed by a dive into Renton’s rich history at the Renton History Museum. From there, they explored the city’s waterfront at Gene Coulon Park, cruised past major landmarks like the Seahawks facility and Boeing, and even got an exclusive tour of Wizards of the Coast. Along the way, they enjoyed fantastic meals—from lakeside dining at Water’s Table to a classic steakhouse experience at Melrose Grill.

Day two took them behind the scenes of Renton’s thriving business and innovation scene, with visits to Valley Medical Center, Blue Origin, and the Sounders FC facility. They also explored the city’s vibrant neighborhoods, public art, and downtown developments before wrapping up with the inspiring State of the City event. Renton’s energy, history, and community were on full display!

From the very beginning, this rebrand has been about more than just a new logo or a fresh look—it’s about capturing the heart and soul of Renton. And who better to help define that than the people who live, work, and play here every day? During the immersion tour, so much time was spent listening to community voices. No matter who the conversation was with, the same themes kept coming up: Renton is welcoming. Renton is accessible. Renton is community. That’s why we’re making this journey a shared experience, ensuring the rebrand reflects the real Renton. Whether it’s through social media conversations, or casual coffee chats, we want you to engage in this next chapter. So, as we bring Visit Renton to life in a new way, we invite you to come along for the ride—because this isn’t just our city’s story, it’s yours.

In the next year, you’ll see an exciting transformation as we begin to roll out the new Visit Renton brand, designed to highlight everything that makes our city unique. We’re working behind the scenes to create something that truly reflects the spirit of our community—and we can’t wait to share it with you.  Keep an eye out for what’s next—you won’t want to miss it!
