Former Renton city council member Armondo Pavone will take the position of mayor in January. He is replacing Dennis Law who has held the seat since January 2008 and held three terms in office. Pavone has helped setup not one but two businesses in Downtown Renton: Armondo’s Cafe Italiano and The Melrose Grill. He is also active with the Renton Chamber of Commerce, Renton Hill Neighborhood Association, and a board member of the region’s Economic Development Council. A longtime resident of Renton with deep ties to both the City and the business community, Pavone, his wife, and two children live on Renton Hill.
