72 Hours of Storytelling: Join the Renton Film Frenzy

Join the Renton Film Frenzy.

August 5, 2022

How would you capture the spirit of Renton in a 7-minute film created in 72 hours?

That’s the challenge behind the Renton Film Frenzy. Local filmmakers are paired with
organizations and businesses to creatively highlight the organization and promote
Renton as a creative, exciting place to live, work and play.

The short films are intended to feature local history, scenery, and diversity, and support
the arts in the community.

Registration is now open! Local filmmakers, organizations and businesses are invited to
apply for the Renton Film Frenzy at rentonfilmfrenzy.com.

The 72-hour filmmaking window is Sept. 2-4. Pairings of filmmakers and organizations
will be announced at the project launch party on August 30.

In addition, all Renton Film Frenzy entries will be shown at all-day screenings on
September 9 at the Renton Civic Theatre and Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at
Seattle’s Southport.

Winning films will be announced on September 11, the final day of the Seattle Film
Summit.

Renton Film Frenzy organizers are pleased to bring back the event after several years’
hiatus. The project adds to the “creative economy” that’s building in Renton — a
welcoming community for encouraging, producing and showcasing all forms of art.
